50 Women, 1 Bus, Tons of Shopping
Hey all! Hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to get out and enjoy the sun. I know I was soaking up as much Vitamin D as humanly possible and getting my shop on!
Saturday was our first Resale Bus Tour of the year. The weather was perfect, the company was amazing (40+ gorgeous women) and the sales were on. We visited 6 resale shops, 1 cute little boutique and I scored some major finds. I was able to get a lot of pieces for our upcoming vacation and managed to snag a vintage picnic basket in the process (my husband was thrilled lol).
You guys, my mom joined us on the tour this time. That’s huge! There’s no secret that I’m a “newbie” to resale, so you can imagine that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I was beyond thrilled to have her on this trip. Bonus, she even bought some stuff! She enjoyed it so much she’s looking forward to an overnight one. Oh the excitement! Stay tuned for announcements on the fall tour… Ok, now I’m going to brag about some of my finds…
- Free People cutoff: $19.95
- Free People tank: $10.00
- NWT espadrilles: $15.50
- NWT Gap tee: $4.50
- NTW Urban Outfitters tank: $8.95
**Warning: all items in below picture were purchased for under $250.00 and that bell sleeve romper gets all the heart eyes.
We get asked all the time – Why do we do bus tours? Why would we take our customers to others businesses to shop?
The answer is this:
Resale is good for SO many reasons (helps people “save” money, helps people “make” money from their gently loved items, promotes recycling to save the earth, helps small businesses which keeps more money in the community, and so much more). Less than 20% of the general public shop resale on a regular basis. If we can take our customers to other resale shops and give them a good experience, they will tell their friends, family and co-workers who may then decide to shop resale more. Our goal is to raise that 20% number as high as we can so we ALL win. Plus, who doesn’t love mimosas, girl time and shopping!? See you next time.
